BIO-BASED PLASTICS
Bio-based plastics have a unique advantage over conventional petroleum-based plastics in that the composition is made entirely or partially from plants or other biological matter. By using renewable organic matter, we engage in a regenerative cycle that is not only sustainable but also an excellent substitute for fossil fuel dependency. Plant growth cycles naturally remove CO2 from the atmosphere, suggesting that a global transition to bioplastics would equate to stopping millions of tons of CO2 emissions every year.
